A delegation of residents from Knolls Vista requested information regarding oiling the streets speed limits,and dog control.They were adviswd that nothing deËinitewas insight ergarding oiling,Chief Bjork was instructed to investigate the speed question and the dog situation,and reportbat the next meeting. A motion to authorise the P.U,D.to install street lights in Knolls Vista and Guffin-Ec11es addition was made and carried. Motion by Goodrich 2nd By Shaddock. g>The Mayor appointed Gene Keyes and Paul Lyman to serve on theb\Planning Commission,The appointment was confirmed by the Council. County Commissioner Geo.Sparks attended the meeting regarding the raising and widening the fill across the horn th Knolls Vista.He estimated the cost at approx.$8.000,shared by the County and city jointly.A motion by Councilman Starr 2nd by Goodrich was made and carried to work out financing and details later. W.C.Armstrong brought up the question of having all sidewalks on3dst,a uniform width,of tenfeet.The setup now has sections of 10 feet and some of 5 feet.He was advised that the signatures of all property owners involved would be required agreeing to thechangeinwidthwhererequired. The petition of Jack Penhallurick and Emil Suko for hearing for platting and for platting was read and the hearing set for May 9th. Engineer G.D.Hall reported on his investigation of the merits of a steel water tank or concrete .Mr.E,D.Fowler was also present and made on impromtu bid for a steel stand pipe.After due consideration of all aspects od Mr.Hall's statement and Mr.Fowlers remarks the Council decided not accept Mr.Fowler's offer and by motion of Councilman Gillett2nd by Shaddock threw out all bids and to call for new bids Motion carried.p -44 -9 The appointment of County Commissioner Geo Sparks as Strëet Supervisor was made by the Mayag and confirmed by the Council at 200.00 per mo.
