A petition and copy of ordinance to prohibit self service
gasoline ststions was presented by a group of garage and
service ststion owners .A motion by Goodrich 2nd by Lowe
was made and carried to instruct the Attorney to draw up
an ordinance to,trohibit such ststions.
Floyd McBride requested that speed limit signs be posted
in certain areas .Chief Bjork was instructed to make a
survey and report at the next meseting.
The Fire Dept presente'd a list of new equipment they needed,
Mayor McCosh appointed Councilmen Gillett &Starr to make astudyofthelistwiththeFireDeptboardofcontrol.
T,e hearing on the Capstranio annexation petition was heard,
Moved by Gillett 2nd by Shaddock that g be accepted,
no objections being presented,pending a ceheck on the legal
owners names,and authorising.the Mayor &Clerk to sign
when complied with.SimmonsFireChiefrequested permission to allow the rural Fire
Dept to use City hydrants in case of necessity.Request OK,d
Mr.Fitts ,manager of the Housing authority ,advised Athat
the sale of surplus stoves,ice boxes &heaters in the pro-ject was advisable,as the equipment is in need of replacement.
A motion to call for bids was made by Councilman Taylor 2nd
byGillett and ca rried.N ,Fitts 'ststed that he would have
the call nublished.
Resolution #¶¶regarding placing of speed signs on extended
City limits was read and approved by motion of Goodri n 52nd
Lowe.Motion carried.Motion requests that the Highway Dept
place the signs,1imiting speed to 3 MPH.
A motion by Councilman Shaddock 2nd by Starr was made and
carried to auth¥risése inclusion of the call for bids to
install water mains on the Suko-Penhallurick plat with that
of Lakeview Terrace.The Mayor advised that on recommendation
of the engineers the City wéuld absorb the cost on a two inch
increase in the size of the pipe .Suko-Penhalluriek will
pay for six inch pipe but eight inch pipe will be laid on
this agrticular projecË.including 3dtSt extended East from Bireh.
Harold Eccles presented a plat of the area the school district
will need on the site the City has accquired on Knolls Vista
for a well site.
