Ordinance 132 relating to fireworks was read the first time,the
rules suspended by motion of Taylor 2nd by Starr for the 2nd
reading,and moved by Starr 2nd by Shadock to read for the 3d time
by title and order published,barried.
Ordinance #133 relating to purchase of well site on lot 2 block 1
Knolls Vista,3d addition was read for approximately $1762.00.lst reading,
Motion by Taylor 2nd by Shaddock lo suspend the rules for the 2nd
reading ,and moved by Shaddock 2nd by Taylor to read for the 3d
time by title only and order publiehed carried .
Ordinance #134,relating to annexation of Peninsula areawasuread =
the first time Move by Starr 2nd by Shaddock to suspend rules for
redding the ŽnÂtime,and carried.moved by Goodrich 2nd by Taylor
to read for the 3d time by title only and ordèr published.Carried.
Fire Chief Simmons presented a list of equipment required by theFireDepartment.Mayor McCosh advised that,it being the unanimous
opinion of the Council at a previous meeting to float a bond
issue for the purchase of equiþment,a move by Shaddock 2nd by
Starr to authorise legal stepps to carry out the project wasmadeandcarried,the estimated cost of new equinment was stated
by Chief Simmons to be about $16.000.
The Clerk was instructed to write the Paramount Pest Control
people to contact the Mayor &Council regarding rehewing the
old contract.
