Three bids were opened ,as follows.

The bids being tabulated ,by Engineer Don Grey,wereconsideredbytheCouncil.
The bid of A.AT.Durand being considered the best and lowbidamothonbyCouncilmanC.W.Taylor 2nd by GillettwasmadetoawardthebidtoDurandandauthorisetheMayor&Clerk to sign the contract.Motion carried.
A motion by Starr 2nd by Taylor was made and carried toauthorisethepurchaseandinstallationofanaircoolerfortheCityHall,with a gaunantee for one year.PoliceChiefBjorkwasauthorisedtosecurethebestbidpossible ,
i An authorisation to call for a quantity of meters wassuggestedbytheMayor.A figure of 300 was consideredsbeingconduciveofalowerprice.
