Councilman Thoren presented a plat of City View for AcceptancebytheCouncil,it having been an,roved by the PlanningCouncil.Move by Shaddock 2nd by Gillett to authorise the MayorandClerktosignandalsotoaccepttheplat.Carried. A motion to call for bids to buy a new olice car was made byCouncilmanGillett2ndbyLowe,bids to alled on August 22ndMotioncarried.Car to be bought on contract. Fire chief Simmons advised the Council that a circus,sponsoredbytheFireDepartmentwouldshowinMosesLakenextmonth.A motion by Goodrich 2nd by Thoren was made and carried topärmittheuseofthecitylandadjacenttotheSafetybuildingforthecircus. THe question of raising the salaries of permanent employees oftheWater&Street Departments was placed befoe the Conne11.I A motion by Councilman Goodrich 2nd by Thoren was made andcarriedtoincreasethesalariesto$280.00 per month,as ofAugustlst,19¶0. Councilman Goodrich advised the Council that Ed Humphrey ,nowonParkduty,would resign as of July 31.Mayor Starr instructedtheParkCommitteetosecureanotherman.
