The rules were suspended to take care of delegations present.One being Rev Joe Mann,who had a hearing on this date regardingbuildingachurchonA&Columbia Streets in Guffin-EcclesadditioninanR-2 zone.No one appearing to object,a motion byStarr2ndbyShaddockwasmadetoissuethepermitprovidedtheaffidavitofpublicationofthehearingwasfurnishedbyMr.Mann.(The affidavit was presented the next morning.)
A Mr.Higgins and Pepper app aared before the Council to askforwatermainsbrextendedtotheirpropertyintheMcCoy-McFadden area.They were advised that platting was advisablebeforemainscouldbeextended.Mr Higgins thought that hecouldgetaneasementthroughotherpropertyandalongthe roadIandinstallthemainshimself.He was advised hhat this was notasatisfactoryarrangement,in case that streets might be openeduplateron.
Mayor McCosh advised that he had received a letter from theP.U.D.regarding the proposed lighting system.40 lights willbeplacedinsteadof38.A motion by Thoren 2nd by Shaddock wasmadeandcarriedtoaccepttheproposal.
T*e reccomendation of the Planning Commission to the yCityCounciltotakestepsendorsingaresolutionpresented by theChamberofCommerceregardinginvestigatingFederalHousing
units was not agreeable to the Council,and the receomendatio¤
was tabled by motilon of Couneilman Skylor22ndbyy Starr,and
the Clerk instructed to write the Chamber of Commerce advising
them of the Couneig*s action,and to the effect that theCouncilfeelsthattheunitsarenotneedaedatthistime.
A check offered by Ted's Electrie for a second hand switchintheamountof$7¶,00 was accepted,by motion of Shaddock
