A Mr.J.C Nhite representing the Harwood property on LakeshoreDrivepresented'the tentát&ve phat of the area to the Council.The plat had been accepted by the Planning Council,as is.Mr.White was advised by Mayor Mc Cosh that notwaterosárvicecouldbeprovidedbythecityuntiltheplathadbeenproperlyplattedanddedicated.
District Engineer Roger James of the State Dept .of HealthwithtwoassistantsattendedtheCouncilmeetingtoexplainwhythedoisposalplantcreatedsomuchodor.He listed ninepointswherechangescouldbemadetomakeforbetteroperationoftheplant,and ststed that that the pronosed cahnges wouldbesubm11tedinwriting.
The Mayor advised that bids were being called for a pump forthewell#3,to deliver 1000 gals per mimute.The bids will beopenedmarch13th,at SPM.
I Mayor HoCosh informed the Council that Chas1(Chuck)BennettwouldbeemployedtoactindifferentcapacitiedfortheCityHewoñ1dbeinchargeofthesewerplant,building Inspector,ag>AulWoandasGhewmEnsdamer.,at a salary of $400.00 pyer month.HisappointmentwasconfirmedbymotionofCouncilmanShaddock2ndbyLowe.
The Mayor reported on his trip to Olympia in secure funds to y,improve Broadway.Re suggested the.Council authorise hšm tomakeanothertriptopromotethepassageofabilltoprovidethesumof$¶.000 for the above purpose.The CouncilapprovedtheMayor's request.
