Fird Chief Simmons reported that R.S.Pelton of the State Dept.ofVocationalEducationhadattendedthefiremeetingstoheþp
analyse the fire truck bids.After through consideration the Fire
Dept recommended to the City Cougeil that the #1 bid of LB Curtisbeaccepted.A motion by Thoren 2nd by Lowe was made and carried
to accept the Curtis bid in the amount of $22.0¶7.00.and the Mayor
&Clerk authorised to sigÂcontract

Mayor McCosh Reported on His trip to Olympia,He ststed thatthecensusbillhadpassedtheHouseandgonetotheSenate.
Also the Road bill had passed the House and gone to the Senate.
Chas Bennett reported that State Health Dept Officials wereatthedisposalcheckingcheckingonproposedimpouvemnts,Mr.Bennut outlind his plans for improvements anfd felt that most
difficukties could be overcome.The change in building permitfeeswasbroughtup,and it appears that the recommendation hadnotbeencarriedthrough,as made by the Planning Council.
The matter of charging double business fees for out of towncontractorswasbroughtup.A check of the ordinance wasordered,to ascertain if this is the case.A check shows thatthedoublefeeischarged.
The parking ordinance was discussed,and possible changesrecommendedbyChiefBjork,to allow diagonal parking in certain
areas..The same to be posted.
Councilman Gillette was instructed to arrange for trees tobeplantedinparkingstrips.
