The Clerk was instructed by the Mayor to notify Fred MattsonthattheKuollsvistapumpwouldbediscontinuedasthefirstofApril,
i Fred Gaskill,taxi operator,requested information regardingoperatinganothertaxicabinMosesLake.no action taken atthistime.
The Mayor reported on the proposal of the Bureau to the citytotakeovertheliftststion.Mr Bennett advised thatnegociationswereprogressingtocompletethedeal.
Mr.Bennet also reported that progress was being made on theexchangeofpropertywiththeMilwaukeeonNAlder..The ClerkwasinstructedtowriteMr.Sedgewick ,the Milwaukee agent ,totheeffectthatassoonasAttorneyMcLeanreturnsfromOlympiathenecessarypaperswillbedrawnuptocomplatethedeal.
Mr,Bennett made a report on his trip to Wenatchee ragamètug tocontacttheHighwayEngineersregardingimprovmentsonBroadway.He advised that nothing had been done by the Department so far.
The Council discussed the advisability of changing the width ofthesidewalkontheEasy&West ends of Broadway .A motion byCouncilmanStarr2ndbyGoodrichwasmadeandcarriedtoholdthewidthat12feet.Also a motion was made by Councilman Starr 2ndbyGoodrichtocontinuethe12ftsidewalktothecotylimitsonBroadway,
i Bob Yerza reported on progress made on Arbor day tree planting,the trees willbgrdered to arrive April 20th.
Jim Baun advised the Council that his men wished a raise of pay.The Mayor informed him that he would heve the Water and Streetcommitteesanalgàeetheoperationsofbothdepartmentsfor thelastthreemonthsandreportatthenextmeeting.The subject ofCivilservicewasalsotakenup.,and the Mayor advised that hewouldcontacttheAssociationofWashingtonCitiesBoardtostudythesystemasitpertainstoCitiesofthe3dclass.
