Mr.Baumgaten,of Baumgarten &Rorvik Made a deal with the Councilwherebythepropertyownersintheblockon$d between Ash &Germainiawouldpavethatparticularblockattheirownexpense,the city
would maintain the block here after.An estimated cost to the cityforabout500.00 would be for drains &grades.A motion by Council
man Gillett 2nd by Thoren was made to authorise the project as
soon as the required funds gad been placed in eserow by the owners

to table the matter.
Peterson also requested that the Council approve a sewer and water
project on the same conditions that obtained on Lakeview Terrace,
namely ,to reimburse the City from future users.This project
would be on Cherry,Hawthorne and other streets .He was advised
that the request would be considered in a favorable light if and
when.money waald be available .
Harold Eccles requested an opinion from the Counvil what means
would be necessary to gaurantee installation of whear lines on theCorleytractorplat#23.He was advised that a bond would be
required.
A motion to approve a petition to annex the are aon the Peninsula
adjecent to thecity including the State Eighway was made and carried,
Motion by Gillett 2nd by Starr.Tais motion ws later receinded and
a motion to set the boundary lines on the South side of the highway
was made byd Gillett 2nd by Allison and carried.
THe Mayor ingtaathed the Attorney to write the Telephone Company
and request them to remove the poles from the North side of
Broadway.
Thh Attorney was also inthructed to write the NikaßB to,the effect ,
that the city desires to accquire the land.around the garbage dump.Condemnation proceedings may be started to acoquire the property
Motion by Starr 2nd by Shaddock to to grant the County a permit toconstructaroadapproachtotheStatehighwayontheEastsideof
the highway to permit the construction of a culvert adjacent to
the Wheeler road.Motion carried.
