County Assor John Powers attended the meeting to discuss revaluationofCityrealestate..Mr.Powers will inform the Council when he . can meet with them to go into the subject in detail. Ordinance #160 was read the first time ,relating to changing themethodofbillingwater&sewer rates.A question arosequestioningthepracticabilityofedmeofthefeatures of theordinance,and the subject will be discussed at the 2nd readingatthenextregularmeeting. Mayor McCosh advised the Council that he had information from the -,Milwaukee RR to the effect that they would meet shortly with thec"Council to 4Mmeuss the crossing requested on the Peninsula road, The Mayor also advised the Council that he as yet had Yeceived noresponsefromtheNPRRregardinygthedispositionpfthegarbagedump. Er Bennet reported on street work. Confirmation of the meeting to be held by the Association ofWashingtonCitieswasmadebytheMayorandtheGrangetobeproperlyadvisedbyletter. Mafk Leight6on was appointed as merchant Police by motion ofTaylor2ndbyStarr,pending the posting of his bond. A replat of Lakeview terrace was submitted to the Gouncil,bymbtionofCouncilmanStarr2ndbyAllisontheanepþ¾tthe replatandfiledwiththehecessaryrequirementsexsistingintheoriginalplat,in which an error was made .and the necessarygauranteesmadeasbefore.
