Ora Walker 262.20 Correspondence was read from the Paramount Pest Control and theirrepresentative,Mr.Van Winkle was present and offered to do morebaitingatthecitydumpfreeofchargeuntilsuchtimeasitwas considered that their work had been satisfactory.Motion made by Gillette and seconded by Thoren that we accept their offer.It was recommended that a letter be written for them to go ahead until conditions at the dump were improved and that the matter then be refered bgek to the council. A motion by Gillette,seconded by Shadduck and acting Councilmen Cook and Celaya,passed allowing the salary raises effective Jan.1,1962 of Geo.Adriance,300 þer month;J.R.Baun,$400 Per Month;R.W. Blackburn,$32¶per month;C.R.Bennett,$426 per month;Bjork,$37¶ per month;Carl Hobbs,$32¶per month;Clyde Jenkins,$360 per month; Ted Kersave,$32¶per month;M.J.Pippins,$325 per month and Noel Scott,$32¶per month. The appointment of Laura Thomas to fill the vacancy on the Planning >> Council was made by Mayor McCosh.The term to expire Jani.1st,19¶?.*TL The appointment was approved by acting Councilmen Lowe and Haddocks. The subject of the amount of business license to be paid by-Mrs.Gourley was brought up for discussion.It was recommended that a letter be written to Mrs.Gourley by City Attorney McLean after the Ordinance had been ehecked. Ordinance #169 was read for the second time by Attorney McLean.A notion made by Thoren,seconded by Shadduck passed that the ordinance be read the third time by title only.A motion was made by Gilletter seconded by Shadduck and acting Councilmen Cook and Lowe,to pass and publish Ordinance #169. A letter from the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District was read and .Referred to the Planning Council. Pat OrShea talked to the Council regarding rat control at Lakeview Terrace.Attorney McLean was requested to check present ordinances on garbage disposal and to draw up a new ordinance if he found it necessardy.It was further recommended that the ordinanemè be inforced.
