Correspondence was read from henry Monroe suggesting the installation ofasoft-drink dispenser in the City Hall.The Council referred the lettertothePlanningCouncil.A letter from the Planning Council was also readpertainingtothewithdraWalofcertainlandfromtheIrrigationproject.The motion was made by Shadduck,seconded by Goodrich that the CounciltakeactioninorotestingthewithdrawalofcertainlandsspecificallydesignatedasSE¼,536,Tl9N,R28,EWN,from the East Columbia BasinIrrigationProject.Such protest to be presented at the East ColumbiaBasinhearingatLind,Wash.March fifth.
Mr.Larson,Mr.Hocker and Mr.Erickson representing City lumber dealersappearedbeforetheCouncilrequestingenforcementoftheOrdinancerestrictingpeddlers.The Mayor directed the Police Dept.to enforce theOrdinance.
A Resolution from the Business &Professional Women's Club was presentedtotheCityCouncilinregardtotheinstallationofanelectricsignalattheRailroadcrossingonHighway10westofMosesLake.The motion wasmadebyThorenandsecondedbyGoodrichthattheCouncilañknowledgereceiptoftheResolutionandthatcopiesbesenttotheDirectorofStateH1ways,Chief of the State Patrol,District H1way Engineer and theTrafficDept.of the C.M.St.P and P.Railroad.
Ordinance #170 declaring an emergency and providing issuance of emergencywahrantsfortheStreetDepartmentwasreadthefirstandsecondtimesandbyamotionmadebyGoodrichandsecondedbyGillette,was read the thirdtimebytitleonly.The ordinance was passed and ordered published by themotionmadebyShadduckandsecondedbyThoren.
