State Patrol,District Hiway Engineer and the Traffie Dept.of the Milwaukee Railroad. Following a discussion on the feasibility,the council was favorably inclined to form L.I.D.#3.The motion made by Starr and seconded by Goodrich passed,instructing the City Engineers and Attorney to start the necessary engineering and legal work. Resolution No.69,.requesting the Chairman of the State Land Board to meet with City officials concerning the exclusion of State Land from the East-Columbia Basin Irrigation District was passed,by the Motion made by Starr and seconded by Allison.The objections as adopted by the Moses Lake Planning Commission and the City Council were read and discussed.- Ordinance #171 pertaining to the changing of street names was read for the second time and the motion made by Starr and seconded by Good- rich passed to have the Ordinance read the third tiime by Title only. The motion made by Goodrich and seconded by Starr passed,to adopt Ordinance #171 and ordered it published. The Mayor directed the proper authorities to enforce building permits and business licenses. The motion made by Thoren and seconded by Allison,authorized and con- firmed the appointment of Cecil Gilman as a permanent member of the Moses Lake police force as of July 1st 19¶2,carried,by the unaminous vote of the council.
