Mr.Hughes,representing the Modern Bldg.Supply also appeared to discussaright-of-way problem.Mr.Hughes was of the opinion that the original i survey of the Locust Lane road was wrong so Chuck Bennett was instructedtosurveytheroadbetweentheRailroadrightofwayandLocustLane. The owner of the Peninsula Motel appeared before the Council to objecttochickensbeingkeptonthepropertyadjacenttohisMotel.ChuckBennettwasadvisedtoinvestigatethesituation. The McFadden Plat was was submitted to the Council.The motion made byGillette,seconded by Starr passed accepting the plat and the Mayor andClerkwereauthorizedtosignuponthepostingoftherequiredbond. The motion made by Gillette seconded by Thoren passed accepting $2¶OfromShorelineConst.Co.for the street dept.,to apply on the generalgravelingprograminthePeninsulaarea. 170 The Clerk was instructed to write to the Chamber of Commerce inform- ing them that the street marking program would be carried out as soon P as was possible. The motion made-by Starr,-seconded by Shadduck passed authorizing the- Mayor and Clerk to sign the new Bureau contract for the Government lift- station and sewer lines,on a 2 year basis. The motion made by Starr,seconded by Shadduck passed,adopting Resolution No.78 which amended the rules and regulations of the City Council per- taining to the method of passing ordinances. The City Attorney read a letter from the Highway Dept.stating that the railroad signal light for the crossing West of town was included-in the 19¶3 budget to be presented to the Legislature. Councilman Shadduck introduced Ordinance No.180.The Ordinance related to the licensing-and regulation of circuses,carnivals and road shows within the City.-The motion made by Thoren,seconded by Allison passed adopting Ordinance No.180 and ordering it published. Councilman Starr introduced Ordinance No.181.The Ordinance authorized and directed the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a quit claim deed to the property owned by John A.Foster in consideration of a transfer and set forth the reasons therfor and Declaring an Emergency.The motion made by Theree-seeended-by-All Shadduck seconded by Starr passed, adopting Ord.No.181 and ordering it published. The Clerk was instructed to write to the Wash.Water Power Co.,request- ing their presence at a meeting with the P.U.D.,Telephone Co.,and the State Hiway Dept.,to discuss the power..line on Alder St. The motion made .by Allison seconded by Starr passed,accepting the resignation of Marjorie Dudley as City Clerk,effective not later than Oct.li,1992. The motion made by Thoren seconded by Shadduck passed,authorizing the Police Dept,to send a man to the Fort Lewis Law Enforcement Training school.
