A Special meeting of the City Council was called to order by MayorMcCosh.The purpose of the Meeting was to meet with represenativesoftheStateHi-way Department and discuss the new proposed East WestNi-way.Councilmen present were R.E.Thoren,0.C.Shadduck,C.W.Flor J.R.Starr,H.W.Gillett and Geo Allison
The Meeting was called to order by Mayor McCosh
yl.The Motion by Starr seconded by Taylor passed,the resolution asspresentedbytheStateHi-way Dept as limited access be adopted.I Police Chief Al Bjork offered a proposal for additional signallights,action held up pending traffic count,to be conducted jointlyby,the State Highway and City upon recommendation of Mr.Barber'districk state highway engineer,'
The Motion by Taylor seconded by Allison passed,that we place anorderwiththeP.U.D.for additional lights in accordance proposedbymapandpresentedbyMaylorMcCosh.
The Motion by Thoren seconded by Taylor passed,confirming appointmentofDaveTrolsonasBuildingInspector.
The Motion by Shadduck seconded by Thoren passed,accepting ChuckBennett's resignation as of January l¶th and requesting him tocontinuewithBuildingInspectinguntilMr.Trolson arrives,and alsoaletterofrecommendationastohisgoodwork.
The Motion by Taylor seconded by Starr passed authorising the issuanceofCallforbidforcompressor.
The Committee Mr.Gillett and Mr.Taylor from City Council and Mr.Frank Holmes from the Fire Dept study the matter for a paid firemanfortheFireDept.
