present,with Mr.Rector and Mr.Kenison.
The meeting was called for the purpose of discussing and authorizingtransferofcertainpropertyonwhichSoilConservacionbuilding islocatedto.that organization long enough to permit refinancing,withlandthentobedeededbacktocity,subject to the mortgage.
Mayor McCosh appointed Mr.Burress and Mr.Shadduck as a specialcommitteetomeetwithdirectorsoftheSCSdistrictanddiscuss mutualprotectionforcityanddistrictinterestsinthebuilding,mad forfuturedevelopmentoftheentirecity-owned property.
It was agreed that if the SCS were to sell the building,or lose it beifore-closure,the City of Moses Lake should have first rights to acquiretheproperty,ande:avòld permitting private ownership in the middle ofcityproperties.
There was a motion by Burress,seconded by Law,sad carried unanimouslyauthorizinganddirectingtheMayormadClerktoexecutethequitclaimdeedtoMr.Driggs and Mr.Larson,and to accept their deed back to thecityforthesomeproperty.
The meeting was adjourned.By Laura Thomas.Mr.Kenisonesked to have deeds completed,recorded and returned to thecityfiles.
It was noted,from Mr.Driggs,that #$,000 was amount of orginalmortgage,belance now outstanding of 42,000 that refinancing now soughtwouldbringtotaldueupto#5,000 with total investment in building todateofäl3,900.
