The recessed meeting of July 19th,was callad to order by Mayor McCosh,councilmen present were:Marshall Burress,.San Dunn,.G.Shadduck,Geo Allison,Geo Schuster and Alex Law.
CARDBONWATER LINEg Letter was read from Carl Carlson requesting Cityparticipationinthewaterlineheconstructhdin..his addition.TheMotionbyLawsecondedbyDunn,we do not participate in Garlson Water
line as per request.Motion carried.
OFFICE PLANS:Harold Hovind presented plans on the mechanical End
i electrical portion of the Civic Office Eldg,.which.are now ready forrebids,and explained the changes he made,also plans for PublicSafetyoldg,Bid opening.date is sat for August 3rd.
qHOUSING:Letter from San.Francisco Office .of..Public Housing Adminis.
tration was read:stating.that the housing projects in Moses Lake are
to be discontinued...The Motion by Burrens seconded by Dunn,that we
ask PHA to withhold.action for twelve months.until we determine thebestdispositionofthehouses,Motion carried.Schuster voting with
the understanding that a committee be appointed by the Council to work
with the committee of the Chamber of Commerce.Mayor McCosh appointed
Schuster,urress and Allison on this committee.
RESOLUTION #101:read on Housing .The Motion by Law seconded by
Burress,Resolution #101 l>e adopted with..the change in paragraph 6 K
substituting the.work "if"instead of."after".Motion carried with
one dissenting vote.
ORDINANCE #234:The Notion.by Shadduck..seconded by Law Ordinance #234 regarding bus Franchise,be read for the second time.The Motion by Law seconded by Allison,Ordinance #234 be adopted and
published.Motion carried.
AVIATION COMMITTEE:of the Chmáber of Comme.rce presented their reportanddrawingsofproposedairport.The Motion by ochuster seconded by
i Shadduck,that we proceed with .condemnation proceedings mad startnegotiationsimmediately,but exclude.the area as recommedded in theChamberofCommerce.rqpor.t,that of Southeast Quarter of Southeast
uarter of beation 32,Township 19 North,Range.29,and that portion
of Southwest kuarter lying southerly of North-South highway in Section
5,Township 19 North,.Range.Motion carried.
OLIVETTI CALCULATOR The Motion.by Allison .seconded by Burress thatthe.decision of the purchase of the Olivetti calculator machine be
left.to the City Supervisor.
BILLING MACHINE:The Motion by Shadduck seconded by ochuster Mr.Rector
make a decision about purchasing.a .billing machine.Motion carried.
