CURRENT EXPENSE Warrants.4§74 thru 4587 paid in the amount of $347.87 WATER AND SEWER Warrants 1933 thru 1998 paid in the amount of $3,349.8§ STREET Warranta 1006 thru 1011 paid in the amount of #634.14 SPECIAL WATER warrant No.909 paid in the amount of #$.1§ A letter was read from the School.Board advising that they were will-ing to pay one-half of the cost of a 6"water line along Ivy Avenue.The motion made by Law,seconded by Dunn passed,to advise the SchoolBoardthatthelinewouldhavetobeinstalledattheSchoolDistrictisexpenseaccordingtoourEngineer's specifications.Councilman Burressvotedinoppositiontothemotion.Mayor McCosh suggested that theCityAttorneylookintothestatutestodeterminehowfartheSchoolDistrictcouldgoin.participation of water lines. The motion made by Schuster seconded by Allison passed,approving theappointmentofMarjorie.Dudley as Deputy City Clerk during the absenceofNabelWaterman. The resignation of John Moberg from the Planning Commission was read.Ehe motion.made by Shadduck,seconded by Allison passed,accepting theresignationandrecommendingthataletterofappreciationbewrittenfortheworkhehaddone. The motion made by Burress seconded by Law passed,instructing theAttorneytoprepareanewordinancechangingtheCouncilmembership onthePlanningCommission.The new ordinance to read that there be notmorethantwonorlessthanoneCouncilmemberontheboard. A letter of recommendation from the Planning Commission was read re-garding the plat of Montlake Addition No.1.The motion made by SchustersecondedbyShadduckpassed,accepting the plat,subject to the usualprovisions,and the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to sign. A letter of recommendation from the Planning Commission was read re-garding the plat of the Sortor.Addition.The motion made by Law seo-onded by Dunn passed,accepting the plat subject to the usual provisions. A letter was read from United Buildera.relative to the Wee Acres engin-eering costs.The motion made by Burress,seconded by Dunn passed,accepting the charge of Šl75 with the provision that the engineersubmithischargedirecttotheCity. A liability insurance report was read by Don Blessing.The motionmadebyShadducksecondedbyAllisonpassedrecommendingthematterbetakenunderadvisement. Following a discussion,Mr.Shadduck was instructed to advise WindyWestofthe.Civil Defense board that the City would participate intheprogrambutadefiniteamounthadnotyetbeenestablishedin thebudget. Reports were given on the meeting held regarding distribution ofnaturalgasinMosesLake.The motion made by Dunn seconded by Schuster,passed,requesting the Bonding Company to have the Engineering firmmakethenecessarysurveyandtheAttorneytodrawuptheordinance,to put the natural gas issue on the November ballot. August 24th Cont*d A petition for zone change in the McClimans addition was read witharecommendationfromthePlanningCommission._After discussion itwasmovedbyBurress,seconded by Dunn that the petition for rezoningtheMcClimansadditionbeacceptedaspertainingtoLot3only,ex-cluding Lota 1 and 2.The motion carried.Ordinance #237 to thateffectwasread.The motion made by Dunn,seconded by Law passed thattheOrdinancebeadoptedandwasorderedpublished.CouncilmanShadduckvotedno. Mr.L.M.Kuhnley of Moses Lake Television Inc.reported they hadfinishedconstructionofthecableandaskedforaninspectionso i they could be released from their bond.The engineer was instructedtomaketheinspectionandtheAttorneytochecktheOrdinanceandmakereportsatthenextmeeting. The motion made by Law seconded by Shadduck passed,instructing theAttorneytoprepareandOrdinanceestablishingapay-roll fund andandequipmentrentalfund,to be added to the new budget.
