PENINSULA PLAT:PLAfoontaining only a portion of the Peninsula Addition was presented
by Mr.Kennedy:The motion by Allison seconded by Jones,that Peninsula
Addition No.1 be accepted subject to the plat being approved by the
County Commissioners prior to fillag and subject to Niller Street and
Stevens treet being eliminated in the park property.Motion carried.
The Motion by Shadduck seconded by Surress,that we withdraw the Penin-
sula Addition transparency that has been signed and get it off the
record.Motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO.110 extending the Federal Housing 2rojects was read:Íhe Motion by Dunn seconded by Jones,to adopt Res.110.Motion carried.
BAKER HEIGHTS PLAT:Letter was read from Planning Commission recommend-
ing the acceptance of Plat of Baker Heights No.2.The Motion by
Burress seconded by dones Enker Heights No 2,be accepted subject to
the usual provisions.Motion carried.
MILWAUKEE INDUSTRIAL PLAT #).Letter from Planning Commission recom-
mending the acceptance of the Milwaukee industrial Plat #3.The
Motion by Burress seconded by Law we accept the Milwaukee Industrial
Plat #3 subject to the proper lighting being installed on East Broad-
way and subject to all-general requirements.Motion losti .
The Motion by Dann seconded by Jones,that the Milwaukee Plat be refer-
ed back to the Planning Commission for the extension of a 30-foot set-
back on Block Street and a full 80-foot street on Fifty Avenue,Motion
carried.
REZONË:Letter from Planning Commission recommending the granting of
John Lee's petition to resone to C.M.The notion by urreas seconded
by Dunn that the matter be referred to the attorney to work out.Mot-
ion carried.
ALBERTUS #2 PLAT:Sewer easement in the Albertus #2 Plat.Letter
from John ^oberg who represents Mr.Albertus was read:referred to
committee of Burress,Allison &Schuster for further study,and report
back at next council meeting.
PARK DEPT request for a One-ton pick:-up for the Park Dept.The Motion
by Shadduck seconded by dones to issue a call for tids according to
specifications.Motion carried.
OFFICE EQUIPMENT:Mr.Rector presented a list to council for office
equipment.The Motion by Law seconded by Dunn to authorize call for
bids.for office equipment.Motion carried.
PRIMARY ELECTION:A canvas was made of the City Primary Election &
absentee ballots counted.The Motion by Allison seconded by Shadduck
council has canvased the ballots.Motion carried.
GENSUS discussed.The Mo-tion by Law seconded by Jones that an actual
count of 1955 census be taken.Motion carried.
BUS FRARCHISE:Mr.Green appeared before the council in regards to
Bus Franchise and would like to have Insurance rates according to the
Ordinance reduced,felt they were too high.The Motion by Dunn seconded
by Shadduck,it be referred to committee of Burress,Schuster,and
Kenison for further study,and report back to next council meeting.Carr.
LUMBER:The matter of dismantling barracks buildings in Ephrata and
use the lumber to build in Moses Lake came before the council,referred
to Mr.Rector and Attorney for further study sad report back at next
council meeting.
Letter from Terrace Homes.Would like to use roll curb and would the
city reconsider them.Matter referred to Engineer and Street committee
for further study and report back at next council meeting.
