BESSELMER CASE:Mr.Ralph Kenison reported on the Besselman case.The
opinion of the Supreme Court reversed the decision of the Superior Court.
No final report could be made on the Peninsula Annexation.
Ralph Kenison reported on the Petition of John Lee to rezone.The
Motion by Burress seconded by Schuster,that it be left in the hand of
the attorney to bring in the necessary agreements.Motion carried.
BUS FRANCHISE:reported on by Marshall Surress‡in regards to insurance
rates.Mr.Green presented map to council,marking out proposed bus
stops.The Motion by Burress seconded by Law that Section 6 of Ordinance
pertaining to insurance be changed to read that a good and suffielent
policy of prlicies of insurance covering #29,000.00 personal injury
each person,#$0,000.00 personal injury each accident,and #25,000.00propertydonage,name changed to Russell-Green President of Moses Lake
Transit System.Motion carried.
Mr.Rector reported on lamber being used after old buildings torn down,
it will be insoected on the site and it will have to qualify and pass
inspection grades,otherwise cannot be used.
LETTER was read from Ernst Land Co in regards to using rolled type curbs,
report given by Alex Law and Don Gray,not in favor of rolled typed curbs.
The Motion by Shadduck seconded by Schuster to allow rolled type curbs
in the Montlake Additiòn as an experiment,and attorney instructed to
draw up ordinance.Motion carried.
AIRPORT:Mr.Kenison reported that city has option from one of the
landowners of airport site within the appraisal price,The Motion by
Law seconded by Shadduck that we exercise the option on acreage in air-
port area.Motion carried.
