GARBAGE PROPOSAL &SANITARY FILL:Mayor suggested meeting on Garbage
proposal be set for next luesday Sept 3rd and in the absence of Law,who is chairman,Eolmes appointed chairman of committee and Burress
as a committee member,mad bring in report at next council meeting,i WATER &SEWER PAXTON ADDITION:Engineer Don Gray gave report,andrecommendedtoproceedonbothprojects(W.Broadway &Paxton Addition)The motion by Krueger seconded by Burress to accept the engineersrecommendationandeptendexistingcontracttoincludebothprojects

GAS BOND SALE:Mr.Shenhan Ellsworth of Harper &Bon presented reoort.Recommended to call on Barper &Son for bids on bonds to negotiate saleofsame.ihe motion by Henry to accept Mr.Ellsworths proposal for saleofonds.Motion died for lace of second.Matter be taken under advisementuntilnextcouncilmeetingSeptllthandhaveMr.horgrimson give reportofh.earing held Sept 10th.
RADIO BUILDING:tabled for next council meeting.
ALBERTUS BUILDING:City Attorney gave report.Attorney advised ordinancebechangedsoastodeclarebuildingasanuisance.The motion byKruegersecondedbyHolmesthatweInstructityAttonaeythatpresentordinanceonmovingofbuildings,be redrawn.Motion carried.TheimotionbyJonessecondedbyHolmes,to instruct City Attorney to draw upnusianceordinancethattheAlbertusBuildingbedeclaredanusiance,and abatement proceedings be taken.Burress,Henry No,West &Krueger notvoting.Motion lost.
LETTER:from Bob Nuber State Director of Aeronautica read.Discussion.The motion by Barress seconded by Jones to apply for Federal Funds forimprovementofexistingAirport.Motion carried.
DTVISION STREET RIGHT-A-WAY:report was giken by Charles Bedford.The
Motion by West seconded by Jones in accordance to a previous record ofthecouncilanddiscussionofcouncilwenowgoonrecore,that we willnotatanytimepayfortheproperty,and sidewalks be omitted on un-platted land unless land is dedicated.Motion carried.The motion by
Holmes seconded by West,we instruct Mr.Bedford to proceed with
property acqiistion on division.Motion carried.

to instruct Gity Attorney to enforce land owners to.secure water &
sewer in the West View Tracts and initiate proceedings if nemessary.Motion carried.
REQUEST FOR SPECIAL WATER RATES:Letter from Tarrace Homes was read.The motion by Krueger seconded by Jones,request be denied.Mot car.
RESOLUTION #141:requesting extension of lease for Bureau of Reclama-
tion sewer facilities was read.The motion by West seconded by Burress

The motion by West seconded by Krueger recommendation of the Planning
Commission Western Addition Plat be accepted.Motion carried.
PLANNING COMMISSION:Recommendation was given on the Austin Elkins
Addition:The motion by est seconded by Krueger to accept planning
commission recommendation.Motion carried.
A PROPOSED SITE:for the VistxFire-Sub Station was presented,cost of
lot #800.00.The motion by Burress seconded by Krueger recogmend the
purchase of this lot (corener of grape Dr.&Love st.)be approved.

WESTLAKE TRACTS:Mr.John Prichard appeared before the council in re-
gards to annexing Westlake Tracts into the city.The motion by West
seconded by Krueger that Westlake tracts group prepare a skeeth in-
diesting eres to be annexed.Motion carried.
ENGINEER:Don Gray gave report on Bid opening Broadway street.The
motion by West seconded by Holmes tid be taken under advisement.Mot car.
STREET GRADES:at Locust &Peninsula Dr.prltlem presented by Joe
Middleton,Engineer to make a study of problem on Wednesday morning.
WELL #6:Lekeview Terrace:Mr.Durand ap eered before the council in
regards to not fullfilling contract.The motion by Barress that we
rescind the penalty involked.Motion lost for want of second.The
motion by Henry seconded by West matter be tabled for further stugy
LETTER:requesting Larson Airplanes be allowed to fly at a level of
1000*ft during the hours of die parade on Saturday Sept Sth was read.
The motion by West seconded by Jones request be granted.Motion carried.
BID ON ELECTRICAL:for the sewage lift plant-was reported on by the
Engineer.The motion by West seconded by Jones that the engineer be
authorized to call for bids on the electrical item of the lift station
again.Motion carried.
