TRASH CANS:-The-motion by West seconded by Krueger to ask the Joycees to present a letter of intent in wheih factors such as maintenance of the cans are set forth.Motion carried. RE-ZONINŒ DIKE PROPERTY:portion of property on Peninsula on-West Side Hi-Way be resoned from R-2 to C-M.The motion by Holmes seconded by Henry recommendation of the Planning Commission be accepted.Mot carried. PAWN BROKERS LICENSET Application submitted by Mel Zorns for a pawn brokers license to become effective the first of the year.The motion by Law seconded by Jones to áccept the qpplication subject to the approval of the Police Dept.Motion carried. WAT R RATES FOR OFFICE BUILDINGS:Joe White appeared requesting certain changes in rates.No changes forseen until a third set of rates is fessible. ENGINEERS RECOMMENDATIONS:Letter read concerning Municipal Grants under Public Law 660,to accept Peninsula Drive Sewer Extension.The motion by West seconded by Henry to accept the engineers recommendation.Motcar. LETTER FROM ENGINEER:recommendation the acceptance South Terrace Add. Water &Sewer Lines and Street Work.The motion by Henry seconded by Law that the engineers recommendation be accepted.Mot carried. LETTER FROM ENGINEER:recommending the acceptance of the Milwaukee Addition #1 Water Lines.The motion by West seconded by Holmes that the Engineers recommendation be accepted.Motion carried. The motion by Law seconded by Krueger next council meeting be Dec 27th, at 9:30 A.M.Motion carried. BANK ACCOUNT:Randall Marney from Central Wash Bank appeered.before the council in regards to city's account with.the Bank.The motion by West seconded by Krueger that the matter be referred to Mr.Rector,Mr.Marney Mr.Hardin and the Treasurer for recommendation.Motion carried. PUBLIC HEARING:date for N,S.Ordinance set for Dec 27th,at 9:30 A.M. BUDGET FOR HOUSING:Mr.Harvey Fitts appeared before the council,gave report on the budget for housing for 1997.The motion by Henry seconded by Krueger to allow the Community Service to u.se a unit in the Housing Administration for storing canned food and clothing.Motion carried.The motion by Jones seconded by Henry authorize Fred Krieger to process and liquidate furniture in housing.Motion carried.The motion by West seconded by Jones to accept the housing budget for 1997 with total oper- ating expenditures be allowed as part of the budget.Motion carried.
