Orville Wilmot was sworn in by the City ClerkCouncilmetinregularsession,the meeting was called to order byMayorBurress,councilmen-present were Alex Law,Frank Holmes,JohnHenry,Fred Krueger and incoming councilman Orville Wilmot.
Therinutes of the January Sth,meeting were read,stand approved as read.Bills were read.The motion by Law seconded by Holmes bills be paidandwarrantsdrawn.

REPORT on AIRPORT LAND SALE given by Alex Law,explained committee
went over bid,and feel bid should be rejected and call for new bids,also request a letter from attorney just what committee can and can-not do.Attonaey Ralph Kenisonexplained that land could not be sold
over aopraisal price or the Bureau will not sell them water.The
motion by Law seconded by Holmes to accept committees recommendationandcallfortidsandfurtherstudy.Motion carried.
SALE OF WATER:outside _City tabled until next council meeting.
PLA RING COMMISSION:renort on Lynn Addition #2 letter read.Nocouncilactiontaken.
STREET COMMITTEE _report on Driveways not put in according to ommunityStandards.Committee feels engineer should enforce Or.dinance.The
motion by Law seconded by Henry to order the City Engineer to requestfullcompliancewithexistingordinanceinallgradesforsidewalks,curbs,driveways etc.Motion carried.Mayor .also suggested Bldg Insp,give
proper instructions when issuing bldg permits that they must complywithstreetgrades.
EYLER ELLIOTT ADDITION:Mr.Cunningham apoeared before the Council
in regards to City's request for an additional LO feet.Discussion.
The motion by Holmes sedonded by Krueger City Attorney see to it thatOriginalagreementofadditional10feetbegiventheCitybecarriedout.Motion carried.
PETITION FOR WATER LINE LOWER PENINSULA:was read.Study to be made

KOUSING:Mr.Eitts acoeared before the council Re:Establishment of
Eental for a Three bedroom unit to be used by the ommunity Service in
the Housing Project.The motion by Holmes seconded by Wilmot we notify
Grant Housing,it meets with the council's pproval to allow Community
Service to go into 3 tedroom unit for $26.00 dollar a month until such
time council notifys Housing Authority that City feels there is a need
for the unit.Motion carried.
VISTA CUP INTERSECTION:Traffic Control design explained by angineer
Don Gray;The motion by Henry seconded by Law recommendation thatdrawingassubmittedbytheEngineercoveringVista'orner Traffic
Channelization be accepted and approved.Motion carried.
The motion by Law seconded by Holmes Plan as submitted by the State Hi-
Way and sngineer as shown on Plan drawn in red on Vista Ucrner leg of
North approach of 11-3 to Moses Lake be accepted and approved as ageneralplanandincludeacquisitionofrightawayandcostofConstruct-
ion of connection at Valley road.Motion carried.
LAKEVIEW PLAY GROUND USE PLAN:The mption by Henry seconded by Law to
accept use þ1an for Lakeview Terrace as submitted.Motion carried.
CALL FOR BIDS ON COMPRESSOR:The motion by Law seconded by Holmes toauthorizetheCitySupervisorto.call for bids on a Compressor for the
garage.Motion carried.
PLAGNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATIONS:Tenaglia Addition letter read.The
Motion by Law seconded by Krueger to accept Planning Commission ree-
ommendations.Motion carried.
PLANNING COMMISSIONRECOMMENDATIONS:on Re-zoning R-1 to R-2 on Division
Street read.The motion by Law seconded by Henry to accept Planning
Commissions recommendations.Motion carried.
FINE:The motion by Holmes seconded by Law,Krueger pay $1.39 find for
being 27 minutes late.
DESIGN OF COUNCIL TABLE:letter from Planning Commission read,taken
under advisement.
Police Dept Recommendation on a Two hour parking Zone read:The motion
by Henry seconded by Holmes to accept recommendation of the Police Dept
on Two hour parking Zone on south side of Third Ave between Elm &Gum-
wood.Motion carried.
It was moved by Law seconded by Krueger,that the Progress Payment for
Engineering Services for Local Improvement District No.6 in the amount
or Š2,070.71 be approved;that the Progress Payment for Scheudle V
Estimate #6 and Final in the onount of '29,296.24 and Schedule VI
Estimate #6 and Final in the amount of #21,76§.39 for work performed
by Geo.V.Nolte &Co on Contract for Local Improvement District No.6
fund be approved;that to provide funds for the payment thereof Warrants
be drawn against the Local Improvement District No.6 Fund in favor of
Grande &Company,Inc,in the total amount of #49,132.34 bearing interest
at the rate of 4.20¾per annum and dated January 2ß,19§7;that the
proceeds of said warrants be deposited in the Local Improvement District
No.6 Construction Fund and that Warrants.be issued upon said Fund in
favor of Gray &Osborne and Geo.V.Nolte &Co,in payment of work per-
formed,subject to all conditions being met in Don Gray's letter.Motion
carried.
