The Council met in regular session,the meeting was called to order by
Mayor ourress,councilmen present were:Frank Holmes Fred Krueger,
Dave Jones,J¤hn Henry,Orville Wilmot and Merle West.
The minutes of the previous meeting of July 9th were read,stand approv-ed as read,Minutes of the Special meeting of July 16th were read,
stand approved as read.

BURNIRS BARREL:Orville *ilmot presented alans for burning barrel,
referred backto committee for further study.Leonard Cook Fire Chief
stated that many fires were caused from carelessness.with the burning
barrels and improper screens.
WELL #7 PUMPEOUSE:Letter read from the Weih State Eealth Dept,giv-
ing approval of Well i 7 Pumphouse.No action taken.
F.SH.18:Letter from the State Hi-Way Dept in regard to the approaches
to PSH 18 on Potato hill was read.Letter sent to 01ymnie for theirconsideration.
WALKWAY EASERENT:Public hearing on vacation of welkway easement in
Baker Heights Addition was held,no public objections.The motion
by Henry seconded by Jones Besement be grented.Motion carried.
MOSES LAKE T.V.CABLE:Hearing on Moses Lake 1.V.Cable rates was
held.Letter read,no þublic objections noted.The motion-by Holmes
seconded by dest that the change of rate for Moses Lake T.V,be grant-
ed.Motion carried.
BIDS FOR PUMPHOUSE WELL #7:Award of bids for pumphouse for well #7
Committee's recommendation that the low bidders,Odessa Trading,
Fairbanks Cons't Co.Bain Electric and Grant County P1bg be granted,
and recommended that City engineer furnish supervision on the Pen-
insula Water L.I.D.The motion by Jones seconded by Holmes to accept
th.e committees recommendation.Motion carried.

PARKING:for Trailer Court at City hall Anexx reported on by Merle
dest,and recommended to take out dividing fence and use space as
common parking area.The motion by Wilmot seconded by Holmes to accept
the committee's recommendation and inform Mr.Purdy that it is his
responsibility a remove the fence.Motion carried.
HOUSING REPORT:submitted by Harvey Fitts.Requested that the Street
Dept continue thier work repairing the streets in housing and also
that the revenue that comes in from the sale of the building be set
aside for the disposition of the project.
APPLICATION FOR A DIECE RERMIT;¤ome Inn,letter read,turned over to
committee of Jones,Holmes and Wilmot to process application and re-
port back with recommendation at next council meeting.
REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF BOND ON MEDICKL CENTER ADJITION:Letter from
Albert Krubitz read.he motion by Wilmot seconded by Jones to rant
extension of ond.Motion carried.
LETTER FROM POLICE CHIEF:Al Bjork recommending 2 hour parking in
fron of City all read.he motion by Jones seconded by "ilmot to
limit parking to l hour.Jones Krueger,For,West,Henry voting No
Mayor voting No.M tion lost•he motion by Henry seconded by Holmes
to accept the recommendation of the Police hief,for two hour park-
ing in front of the City Hall.Holmes Henry "est for,Krueger,Jones,
&wilmot against Mayor voted for.Motion carried.
REQUEST FOR ORANGE ORDER ON FIRE STATION:Addition was explained by
Mr.Rector.The motion by "ilmotseconded by dones request for change
order Ñ 1 on the Center fire Station addition be approved.Motion
carried with Holmes voting No.
AMOUNT OF BID BOND ODESSA TRADING OG,Engineer reported it was #3.84
short of Si bid Bond.The.motion by dones seconded by Eenry waive
amount and accept the engineers'recommendation.Motion carried.
COUNCIL JONES:rep rted that the H*gh School Student Body would like
to out in rest room facilities and a coffee bar an the football field.
