The council met in regular session,the meeting was called to order
by Mayor Pro-tem Alex Law,councilmen preàent were:Frank Holmes,
John Henry,Alex Law,Orville Wihnot,Fred Krueger,and Merle West.
The minutes of the previous meeting of August 13th were read,stand
approved as fead.
Bills were read:The motion by Holmes seconded by West bills he paid
and warrants drawn.Motion carried.

AWARD OF BID FOR SHOP:addition tabled till later in meeting when
architect would be present.
COUNCILMAN.WILMOT REPORTED ON ROMA INN APPLICATION:for a dance 1*****,license.The motion by Wilmot seconded by Holmes application be
granted.Motion carried with Krueger voting no.

ASARDING OF BIDS FOR SHOP ADDITION.:Architect Frank Harthorne recommended
that the council accept the low bid of Westover &Hope,The motion by
Law seconded by Holmes to accept the architects recommendation and
award bid to Westover &Hope.Motion carried
LAND EXCHANGE:explained by Ken Earl,that Martin Penhallick wouldliketoexchangelandheownsforasectionownedby.the City.ThemotionbyWestsecondedbyKruegerthatmatterbereferredtotheCityAttorneytomakeproperlegaldescriptionandtodrawupproperOrdinance.Motion carried.
MOSES LAKE O'SULLIVAN DAM REÇREATIONAL AREA:a resolution read.TheMotionbyhWestsecondedbyKruegertoadopttheresolutiononPlan-

NUSIANCE ORINANCE:READ.The motion by Law seconded by West it betabledforfurtherstudyandadditions.Motion carried.
ALDER STREET BRIDGE:report given by City Engineer,letter read fromStateHi-Way Bridge Inspector stating that the repair on the bridge
now is too expensive and recomended that Load limit be reduced to 24
tons.The motion by Henry seconded by Law to accept the recommenda-
tion of the State Hi-way commission on load limit on Alder St.Cross-ing.Motion carried.The motion by Law seconded by Wilmot that council-
men go on record as being in favor of having another bond election theearlypartof1958fortheAlderSt.Causeway.Motion carried.
CENTRAL DRIVE:access road reported on by City Engineer no action taken.
EMERGENCY ORDINANCE:for appropriating funds for the Library &CurrentExpensefunds.The motion by Wilmot seconded by Henry hearing to beheldnextcouncilmeetingSept10th.Motion.carried.

JAYCEE'S appeared before the council regards to advertising on Trashcans.The motion by West seconded by Krueger we accept prpposal sub-ject to council control in that we do limit any of these to non profitorganizations.Mution carried with Henry &Law voting No.
