as was issued to the L.D.S.Church.The motion by LWest seconded by Henry that engineers

DISCUSSION ON USE OF CITY WATERAT FAIRGROUNDS:for Little League,explained byWest,
that they want city to give water from meter from county so fire dept can wet area down,
referred to Park dept.

30ST OF LIVING RAISE:The motion by Jones seconded by Holmes cost of living raise be given

RIVIERA ADDITION BONDREQUIREMENTS:The motion by Jones seconded by Henry request be
granted subject to usual platting procedure and city attorney draw up agreement on 150
foot back portion protected on Laurel Drive.Motion carried.
LETTER FROMCOMMUNITYSERVICE:in regards to rental in Housing read.The motion by
Krueger seconded by Holmes that we allow rent free only until $150.00 is used up and then
back to $10.00 month,for interviewing and accomadating applicants.Motion carried.

The recessed meeting of April 8th,was called to order by Mayor Burress,councilmen
present were:Frank Holmes,Alex Law,John Henry and Fred Krueger.
CITY ENGINEER:Chet Waggener explained complaints on gas line and what he felt should be
done,in regards to cleanup,asphalt,concrete and replacements of lawns.Mr.Tomlin and
Mr.Cr6ft for B.E.H.explained that they are working on clean-up and compaction.Mr.Croft
explained that clean up must be done 2 or 3 weeks if possible after a job,in order for
lirt to settle,also concrete tests are being made,have a few minor corrections.Council-
men feel strength of concrete is the difficulty,would like tests of concrete to be taken
on the job.BEH.stated that they will take sample of the core.The motion by Henry
seconded by Law to read bills of B.E.H.Pipeline Constructors.Motion car.The ytion by
Law seconded by Holmes bills be paid and warrants drawn with the restriction that B.E.H.
have any delinquent bills thirty days past due the council will withhold payment.Mot car.
NOTICE ON CALL FOR BIDS FOR ALDER STREET CAUSEWAY:was read.The motion by Henry seconded
by Krueger that bid opening be set for 6:p.m.on May 13th,tegular councir mee¾ing.
