The council met in regular session,the meeting was called to order by Mayor Burress,councilmen present were:Frank Holmes,Alex Law,Dave Jones,Fred Krueger,John Henry,Merle West,and Mayor elect Henry Boyle.
The minutes of the previous meeting of April 8th were read,correction on the motionofthecostoflivingraise.The motion by Holmes seconded by West cost of living raisetobechangedtomotionlostinsteadofcarried,minutes of April Sth stand approved
as corrected.Minutes of the recessed meeting of April 10th,were read,correction
on matter of tests,word cement to be changed to concrete.Minutes of April 10thstandapprovedascorrected.
Bills were read.The motion byWest seconded by Henry bills be paid and warrantsidrawn.Motion carried.

JAS PROJECT CLEAN-UP:being taken care of,Mr.Rector &Garth Anderson made a surveyto-day,and found they had covered a great deal of the work,still a lot to be donebutfeettheyaredoingrealgoodandarewaitingforthetestsontheconcrete.
LETTER FROM STATE HI-WAY READ:next meeting will be othello.Decided to wait furtherwordonthematter.

TEMPORARYBLDGPERMIT:Mr.Colby Ardis appeared before the council in regards to atemporarybuildingpermitfortheMosesLakeMasonicTempleb1dg.The motion byKruegersecondedbyJonestoallowtemporarybldgpermitfortheLodge,upon the post-ing of bond,payment of utilities,and to proceed with platting of the whole piece ofproperty.Motion carried.The motion by Holmes seconded by Henry that we grant nomoretemporarybldgpermitsinlieuofplatting.Motion carried.

PELICAN HORNGARBAGEDUMP:explained by city Attorney Ralph Kenison.The motion by
Holmes seconded by Krueger that we write a letter to Mr.Lingg and tell him about
complaints received and ask him to come to the next council meeting.Motion carried.
L.I.D.#6:MANITOUINVESTMENTCASE:reported on by City Attorney Ralph Kenison,
recommended that the matter be permitted to ride that no legal decision has been
reached.
CHICAGOBRIDGE &IRON LETTER:read in regards to cost of repairs that resulted from
the settlement of the soil below the reservcirs,acknowledge letter stating that the
matter of who is a t fault has not yet been determined.
CASCADEPARK STATUS:Ted Swedherg gave report,stated that Park board has not had any
cooperation from the Land Commission on the progress of Cascade Park.The motion by
Jones seconded by Law to authorize the Mayor and Ted Swedberg to go to Olympia and
get matter straightened out,expenses paid.Motion carried.
LETTER FROMDR.KNOI:in regards to health and drinking fountains was read.The motion
by West seconded by Law letter be acknowledged.Motion carried.
ORDINANCEON LABOR UNIONS:presented,letter from C.H.Storms read,no action taken.
LETTER FROMNORTH TERRACERENTALS:in regards to clean up on gas project read,
answer letter and send copy to B.E.H.
DISOUSSION on final notice on payment of business licenses.
VOTING DELEGATESTO ASSOCIATION OF WASH CITIES CONVENTION:are Law and Krueger.
