1939.08.08_00001Moses Lake,Wash.Aug.8th.1939 Council Proceedings Board met in regular session on this the above date with thefollowingmemberspresent:Eric Peterson,Mayor,Carl Burress,John Hochstetter,Ralph Davis. The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved.The resignation was read of W.E.Bunnell as councilman and samewasdulyacceptedandorderedplacedonfile. Mayor Peterson at this time appointed W.E.Bunnell as clerkoftheBoardtotaketheplaceofDellGuffin,who had resigned. Mr.Carl Burress reported that Mr.Hunneeke the Funeral DirectorofEllensburg,Wash.had an Ambulance which he was not using havingpurchasedanewoneandkinlyofferedtheTownofMosesLakethe useoftheoldoneiftheycaredtouseitinemergencycases.It was movedandpassedthatavote.of thanks be extended to Mr.Hunecke and arrange-ments be made to secure same. At this time Ordinace No.(9(An Ordinace granting the WashingtonWaterPowerCo.a (25)year franchise to operate their lines in the TownofMosesLakewasreadthethirdtimeánduponmotionitwastheunamanousvotethattheOrdinancenotbepassed. Ordinace No.(II)An Ordinance regulating and Licensing Publicdanceswasreadsecondandthirdtimeanditwasmovedandpassedthat therulesbesuspendedandtheordinancewaspassedasread. Ordinance No.(I2)An Ordinance regklating and Licensing MovingPictureTheatereswasreadsecondandthirdtimes.It was moved and passedthattherulesbesuspendedandordinanceno.(I2)be passed as read. Ordinance No.(I3)An Ordinance providing for the licensing andregulation,for police purposes,of traveling carnivals,fairs,circuses,and providing a penalty.for the violation thereof.Ordinance No.(I3)was read first,second and third times and upon motiontheren-es were suspended and the ordinace was passed as read. Ordinance No,(I4)An Ordinance providing for the licensing ofbicycles,the regulation of the use thereof,and penalties for the violationoftheprovisionshereof. Ordinance No,(I4)was read first,second and third times and upon motiontherulesweresuspendedandtheordinancewaspassedasread.
