RESOLUTION NO.3196
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AMBULANCE SERVICE UTILITY RATES
RECITALS:
1. The City Council by ordinance has previously established,pursuant to RCW Chapter 35.21,an
Ambulance Service Utilityfor the city.
2. RCW 35.21.766 requiresthe cityto conducta cost-of-servicestudy as the basis for the settingof rates
forclasses of users ofthe Ambulance Service Utility.The cityhas caused such a cost-of-service study
to be completed.
3.The costsoftheAmbulance Service Utility,afterapplying transportfees andthe generalfund contribution,
establishes the amount to be collectedbythe Ambulance Service Utility rates as $1,356,000.
4. Itis has been determined there are 8,800 units among whom the $1,356,000 should be spread.
5.There is no basis to establish a different rate forAmbulance Service Utility service among the different
classes of users pursuant to the provisions of RCW 35.21.766.
RESOLVED:
1.The following ratesare established bythe MosesLakeCity Council for the Ambulance Service Utility of
the city and shall become effective January 1,2011.
Allclasses of users $11.38 per month to be charged and collected through the
water/sewer utilitybillings.
Adopted by the City Council on November 9,2010.
