RESOLUTION NO.3420
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE BILLING TO BE IMPOSED AGAINST RAY L. MEDEL AS
THE OWNER OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY UPON WHICH THE CITY CAUSED ABATEMENT
OF A NUISANCE TO BE PERFORMED AFTER A FAILURE OF THE PROPERTY OWNER TO
ABATE THE SAME.
RECITALS:
1.Real Property Location and Ownership.The recordsofGrantCounty showthat Ray L.Medel isthe
owner of property within the city limits located at 1421 Fern Drive.The parcel numberofthis property is
1000454000.Ray L.Medel was provided noticeofa hearingheldbeforethe City Council onOctober8,
2013,to consider the allegationsofthe Code Enforcement Officer that a nuisance requiring abatement
existed on property owned by Ray L.Medel.
2. On October 8,2013 the City Council conducted a hearing to determine ifa nuisance existed on the
property at 1421 Fern Drive.At the conclusion ofthat hearing,the City Council adopted Resolution No.
3400 which provided a nuisance existed on the property at 1421 Fern Drive,that the ownerhad fifteen
(15)days toabate such nuisance and ifthe nuisance was notabated within fifteen (15)days ofadoption
ofthat resolution,the City would cause the nuisance to be abated and the costs of that abatement to be
charged against the property owner.
3. The nuisance identified inResolution No.3400 was not abated bythe property owner within fifteen (15)
days ofthe adoption ofthat resolution.On November 11,2013 the City caused the nuisance identified
to be abated through the use of contracted and/or City labor and equipment.
RESOLVED:
1.The costs to the Cityto abate the nuisance identified in Resolution No.3400 on the property at 1421 Fern
Drive are set forth below.Those costs are derived from the attached documents which detail the costs
incurred.
2.The costs to be recovered from Ray L.Medel are:
City labor and equipment costs $0.00
Contracted labor and equipment (Dircio's Landscaping)$194.40
Total $194.40
3. This charge is certified by the City Council as due and owing the City. This charge shall be forwarded in
writing to Ray L.Medel for payment.If payment is not received within thirty (30)days of submittal,the
same shall be submitted for collection with other unpaid billings of the City and collected or reduced to
judgment on the rolls of Grant County Clerk.
