2276u u U RESOLUTION NO.2276 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GIFT OF $900,000 FROM THE PAUL LAUZIER CHARITABLE FOUNDATION RECITALS: 1. 2. The Paul Lauzier Charitable Foundation has pledged a gift of nine hundred thousand dollars ($900,000)tothe City ofMosesLaketobe usedto further develop the recreational amenities atthe currentVista Community Playfield site. The Paul Lauzier Charitable Foundation giftis stipulated on the following conditions: A. Allfunds to be used forthe sole and exclusive purpose of furtherdeveloping the recreational amenities as specified inthe April 13,2000 letter from Jerry Thaut, Parksand Recreation Director for the City of Moses Lake. B. C. The funds will be paidinthree annual installments beginningon or before June 1,2002. The City of Moses Lake will be solely responsible for administration of the funds after it receives each installment payment.The Cityof Moses Lake will be solely responsible forthe completionofthe proposed development and management ofthe facility once completed. Vista Community Playfield will be named the Paul Lauzier Memorial Athletic Park. RESOLVED: 1.The $900,000 donation is accepted. 2.The terms and conditions ofthe gift are accepted. 3.The existing Vista Community Playfield willbe renamed the Paul Lauzier Memorial Athletic Park. 4.The city willuse its best efforts to expend $900,000 in2001 for further developing Vista Community Playfield (Paul Lauzier Memorial Athletic Park). 5.The City of Moses Lake wishes to express its sincere appreciation to the Paul Lauzier Charitable Foundation.
