RESOLUTION NO. 2732
A RESOLUTION MAKING CORRECTIONS TO COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MAPPING ERRORS
RECITALS:
1.The City of Moses Lake Comprehensive Plan was adopted on September 11, 2001 in accordance with
the Growth Management Act and the State Environmental Policy Act.
2.Chapter 294, Section 2, Laws of the State of Washington 2005 requires that the city take legislative
action to review and, if needed, revise its comprehensive plan and regulations to comply with GMA
requirements. It also requires that each county and city establish and broadly disseminate to the public
a public participation program that identifies procedures and schedules whereby updates, proposed
amendments, or revisions of the comprehensive plan are considered by the governing body no more
frequently than once every year and concurrently, except as otherwise provided.
3.Section 3, Chapter 10 of the Comprehensive Plan establishes a procedure for Out of Cycle Amendments,
including once-a-year consideration of technical errors in mapping. The section is implemented by
Moses Lake Municipal Code Chapter 19.55 entitled Comprehensive Plan and Development Regulation
Amendments.
4.The city has proposed to correct three technical errors in mapping on the Future Land Use Map (Figure
LU-4). These errors may be considered for correction in 2005 as out-of-cycle amendments.
5.On December 1, 2005, the Planning Commission reviewed the technical errors in mapping on the Future
Land use Map (Figure LU-4) and recommended that the errors be corrected as proposed.
