A RESOLUTION INITIATING THE PROCEDURE FOR VACATING RIGHT-OF-WAY
DEDICATED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PORTION OF MARINA DRIVE
RECITALS:
1.There exists right-of-way dedicated for the development of Marina Drive.
2.RCW 35.79 provides that a public street may be vacated upon resolution initiated and passed by the
legislative authority of the jurisdiction where the street is situated and that such resolution shall fix a time
when the petition will be heard and determined and which shall not be more than sixty days nor less than
twenty days after the passage of such resolution.
RESOLVED:
1.The vacation of the following described public right-of-way shall be initiated:
A ten foot parcel of land coincident to the Parkhill - SCEA Addition Plat, per Grant County Auditor Plat
Records Book 3, Page 50, located in the Northwest quarter of Section 22, Township 19 North, Range
28 East, W.M., City of Moses Lake, Grant County, Washington, described as follows:
Beginning at the most northerly corner of Lot 11, Parkhill-SCEA Addition Plat, thence along the northwest
boundary of said lot, South 53°43'00" West, 137.36 feet to the west corner of said lot; thence North
36°17'00" West, 10.00 feet along the extended southwest boundary of said lot; thence North 53°43'00"
East, 154.52 feet, to the extended northwest boundary of said lot; thence South 23°29'30" West, 19.87
feet, along the extended northwest boundary, to the point of beginning.
Containing 1459 square feet, more or less.
Retaining municipal and utility easements over the entire ten foot parcel.
2.The first reading of a vacation ordinance shall be set for September 25, 2007; and a second reading of
a vacation ordinance and a public hearing shall be set for October 9, 2007.
