Covey, Mayor • • RESOLUTION NO. 2979 -A A RESOLUTION INITIATING THE PROCEDURE FOR VACATING RIGHT-OF-WAY DEDICATED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PORTION OF MARINA DRIVE RECITALS: 1.There exists right-of-way dedicated for the development of Marina Drive. 2.RCW 35.79 provides that a public street may be vacated upon resolution initiated and passed by the legislative authority of the jurisdiction where the street is situated and that such resolution shall fix a time when the petition will be heard and determined and which shall not be more than sixty days nor less than twenty days after the passage of such resolution. RESOLVED: 1.The vacation of the following described public right-of-way shall be initiated: A five foot wide parcel of land adjacent to the Parkhill - SC EA Addition Plat, per Grant County Auditor Plat Records Book 3, Page 50, located in the Northwest quarter of Section 22, Township 19 North, Range 28 East, W.M., City of Moses Lake, Grant County, Washington, described as follows: Commencing at the most westerly corner of Lot 11, Parkhill-SC EA Addition Plat, thence along the extended southwest boundary of said lot, North 36°17'00" West, 10.00 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing North 36°17'00" West, 5.00 feet; thence North 53°43'00" East, 163.11 feet, parallel to the centerline of Marina Drive, to the extended southeast boundary of said lot; thence South 23°29'30" West, 9.93 feet, along the extended southeast boundary; thence South 53°43'00" West, 154.52 to the point of beginning. Containing 794 square feet, more or less. Retaining Municipal and Utility easements over the entire five wide foot parcel. 2.A public hearing and the first reading of a vacation ordinance shall be set for July 22, 2008; and a second reading of a vacation ordinance shall be set for August 12, 2008.
