1527u U RESOLUTION NO.1527 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A LOAN FROM THE WASHINGTON STATE POLLUTION CONTROL REVOLVING FUND RECITALS: 1.The property owners in the Basin Homes Area had septic tank sanitary sewer systems on small residential lots. 2.Some of these septic systems were failing or in poor condition without area for expansion. 3.The City of Moses Lake,Grant County Health Department,State Department of Health,Washington State Community Development,Department of Ecology and the local residents worked as a team to place a community sewer system and connect the system to the City of Moses Lake public sewer system for an approximate cost of 1.6 million dollars. 4.The City of Moses Lake applied for a 20 year loan of 1 million dollars at 5%interest from the Washington State Pollution Control Revolving Fund to assist in the capital outlays by the city in the establishment of an LID and other construction expenditures. RESOLVED: 1.The City of Moses Lake City Council accepts this gracious offer of financial assistance from the Department of Ecology. 2.The City Manager is authorized to execute the State Revolving Fund Loan Agreement.
