RECITALS:
RESOLUTION NO.1544
A RESOLUTION DECLARING CITY OWNED PROPERTY AS SURPLUS AND
AUTHORIZING ITS SALE AND AUTHORIZING SALE AT PUBUC AUCTION OF
UNCLAIMED PROPERTY IN THE POSSESSION OF THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT
1. The City of Moses Lake,Washington owns certain personal property,a list of which ison file
with the City Clerk.
2. The property is not needed by the city for the proper and efficient functioning ofthe city.
3. The various city departments will havean opportunity to reclaim any items declared surplus to
be used in that department.
4. The Police Department of the Cityof Moses Lake possesses certain lost or unclaimed property,
a list of which is on file with the City Clerk.
5. The unclaimed propertyinthe possession of the Police Departmentcan be disposed of at a
publicauction as authorized by RCW63.32.
6. A public actionconducted by all government agencies inthe areais being heldat the Grant
County Fairgrounds on June 16,1990.
RESOLVED:
1.The CityCouncil of the Cityof Moses Lake,Washington declares that the personal property
owned by the Cityof Moses Lakeis surplusand should be sold at publicauctionat the Grant
County Fairgrounds on June 16,1990.
2.Further,that the unclaimed property in the possession of the Police Department of the City of
Moses Lake shall be sold at publicauction;destroyed at the direction of the Police Chief if,in
his discretion,he determines an item has no substantial commercial value or the probable cost
of sale exceeds the value of the property; or retained for use in the Police Department.
