A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF ASSESSMENTS CON
FIRMED AND LEVIED IN SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO.2
RECITALS:
1.The assessment roll levying the special assessments against properties located in Sidewalk Improve
ment DistrictNo. 2 in the City of Moses Lake,Washington,created under Resolution No. 1469 has
been confirmed by the Moses Lake City Council by Ordinance No.1445 on October 23,1990.
2. The City Council has the authority by statute, RCW 35.68.060, to determine the manner in which the
assessments are to be paid.
RESOLVED:
1.The assessment roll as approved and confirmed by the Moses Lake City Council shall be filed with
the Finance Director,who acts as the Clerk/Treasurer of the City of Moses Lake for collection and
the Finance Director is hereby authorized to provide notice that the payment of any assessment or
any portion of any assessment can be made on or before November 30,1990 without interest being
accrued or assessed.
2. The assessments levied under Sidewalk Improvement District No. 2 by City of Moses Lake Ordi
nance No.1445 shallbe repaidinten (10)equal annual installmentsof principal and interest,the first
payment being required to be made by October 31,1991.
3. Interest shall be fixed and computed at nine percent (9%)perannum. Any installment due and
payableand not paid shall become delinquent All delinquent installments shall be subject to
additional interestcharges computed at nine percent (9%)perannum and foran additional penalty
set forth by Moses Lake Municipal Code 3.50.020.The owner of any lot,tract, or parcel of land or
other property charged with a sidewalk improvement district assessment under Ordinance No. 1445
may redeem it from all liability forthe unpaidamount of the assessment at any time after Novem
ber 30,1990 by paying the entire installments ofthe assessment remaining unpaid to the Finance
Director with interest thereonto the date of maturity of the installment next falling due.
^J 4.The assessment shall become a lien upon the property and shall be collected in the manner and as
provided by law forthe collection of local improvement districts under RCW 35.43 to 35.54 inclusive
as now in effect or hereinafter amended.
