RESOLUTION NO.1741
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF ASSESSMENTS CON
FIRMED AND LEVIED IN SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO.3
RECITALS:
1.The assessment roil levying the special assessments against properties located in Sidewalk Improve
ment District No. 3 in the City of Moses Lake,Washington,created under Resolution No.1647 has
been confirmed by the Moses Lake City Council by Ordinance No. 1557 on March 9,1993.
2. The City Council has the authority by statute,RCW 35.68.060, to determine the manner in which the
assessments are to be paid.
RESOLVED:
1.The assessment roll as approved and confirmed by the Moses Lake City Council shall be filed with
the Finance Director,who acts as the Clerk/Treasurer of the City of Moses Lake for collection and
the Finance Directoris hereby authorized to provide notice that the payment of any assessment or
any portion of any assessment can be made on or before April 30,1993 without interest being
accrued or assessed.
2. The assessments levied under Sidewalk Improvement District No. 3 by City of Moses Lake Ordi
nance No. 1557 shall be repaid inten (10) equal annual installments of principal and interest, the first
payment being required to be made by March 31,1994.
3. Interest shall be fixed and computed at 8% per annum.Any installment due and payable and not
paid shall become delinquent. All delinquent installments shall be subject to additional interest
charges computed at 8% per annum and for an additional penalty set forth by Moses Lake Municipal
Code 3.50.020.The owner of any lot, tract, or parcel of land or other property charged with a
sidewalk improvement district assessment under Ordinance No. 1557 may redeem it from all liability
for the unpaid amount of the assessment at any time after April 30,1993 by paying the entire install
ments of the assessment remaining unpaid to the Finance Director with interest thereon to the date
of maturity of the installment next falling due.
4. The assessment shall become a lien upon the property and shall be collected in the manner and as
\^J provided by law for the collection of local improvement districts under RCW 35.43 to 35.54 inclusive
as now in effect or hereinafter amended.
