RESOLUTION NO.1884
A RESOLUTION INITIATING THE PROCEDURE FOR VACATING RIGHT-OF-WAY
DEDICATED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PARK STREET
RECITALS:
1.The owners of a portion of the property abutting upon the public right-of-wayof a portion of Park Street
have requested its vacation.
2. RCW35.79 provides that a public street may be vacated upon resolution initiated and passed bythe
legislative authority of the jurisdiction where the street is situated and that such resolution shall fix a
time when the petition will be heard and determined and which shall not be more than sixty days nor
less than twenty days after the passage of such resolution.
RESOLVED:
1. The petition for the vacation of the following described public right-of-way shall be accepted:
A tract of land, being a portion of Section 15,Township 19 North,Range 28 East,W.M.,Grant County,
Washington,more fully described as follows:
All that portion of the right-of-way of Park Street as dedicated and shown on the Vista Village
Shopping Center Plat,recorded under Book 10 of Plats,pages 54 and 55, AFN 660186,Records of
Grant County,Washington,lying west of the following described line:
Commencing at a two inch brass cap,accepted as the northeast corner of the Vista Village Shopping
Center Plat;thence South 00°12'28"West along the east line of Vista Village Shopping Center Plat,
29.87 feet;thence North 89°47'32"West perpendicular to said east line 40.00 feet;thence North
89°36'15"West along the south right-of-way of Park Street,as shown on Vista Village Shopping
Center Plat,60.93 feet to the true point of beginning;thence northwesterly around a nontangent
657.50 foot radius curve to the left (concave to the southwest),33.38 feet,the central angle of said
curve being 2°54'31",the chord of said curve being North 25°35'05"West,33.37 feet, to the centerline
of Park Street as shown on the Vista Village Shopping Center Plat.
2.The first reading of a vacation ordinance shall be set for May 23,1995;that a public hearing before
the Planning Commission shall be set for April 27,1995;and that a second reading of a vacation
ordinance shall be set for June 13,1995.
Adopted by the City Council on April 11,1995.
