A RESOLUTION STATING DESIRE TO ANNEX AN UNINCORPORATED ISLAND OF
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING
Recitals:
1.There is within the City of Moses Lake, a city operating under the Optional Municipal Code,RCW
35A, an unincorporated island of territory containing less than 100 acres and having at least 80%
of the boundaries contiguous to the City of Moses Lake.
2.The city desires to annex such territory under the authority established by RCW 35A.14.295
3. The unincorporated island of territory the city wishes to annex,which is shown on the map on file
with the Finance Director,is legally described as follows:
That portion of SE 1/4 of Section 10 and the NE 1/4 of Section 15,Township 19 North,Range 28
East,W.M.described as follows:
Commencing at the northeast corner of said Section 15 and proceeding southerly along the east
section line and then westerly to the intersection of the west right-of-way line of Stratford Road
and the south right-of-wayline of Kinder Road;thence continuing westerly along the south right-of-
way line of Kinder Road a distance of260 feet to the northwest corner of the annexation described
in Ordinance 1290 and the True Point of Beginning;
thence southerly along the west boundary of the annexation described in Ordinance 1290 to the
north boundary of the annexation described in Ordinance 248;thence northwesterly along the
north boundary of the annexation described in Ordinance 248 to the intersection of the west
boundary of the Southeast 1/4, of Said Section 10;thence northerly along Said west boundary to
the northeasterly right-of-way line of SR-17;thence southeasterly along the northeasterly right-of-
way line of SR-17 to the south right-of-way line of Kittleson Road;thence easterly along the south
right-of-way line of Kittleson Road to the True Point of Beginning.
4.There are no registered voters residing in the unincorporated island of territory the city desires to
annex according to the best knowledge, information, and belief of the City of Moses Lake.
Resolved:
1. The City of Moses Lakedesires to annex the unincorporated island of territory legally described
above.
2. The City Councilof the City of Moses Lake will hold a public hearing on the city's desire to annex
the unincorporated island of territory at 7 p.m. on June 13, 1995 in the City of Moses Lake's
Council Chambers located at 401 S. Balsam, Moses Lake, Washington, and publish notice of the
public hearing at least once a week for two weeks priorto the date of the hearing.
