A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GRANT COUNTY SOLID WASTE
MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATE,JANUARY 1995 AND APPENDIX H,GRANT
COUNTY USED OIL AMENDMENT TO REGIONAL LOCAL HAZARDOUS
WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN
1. Grant County,acting through its Solid Waste Advisory Committee,has prepared an updated
comprehensive solid waste management plan entitled, "Grant County Solid Waste Management
Plan Update, January 1995 and an Amendmentto the Regional Local Hazardous Waste Manage
ment Plan for Grant,Adams,and Lincoln Counties entitled 'Appendix H,Grant County Used Oil
Amendment'",in accordance with the State Solid Waste Management-Recovery and Recycling,
Chapter 70.95,Revised Code of Washington and 2SSB 5591.
2. The City of Moses Lake has participated in the development of the Solid Waste Management Plan
byauthorizing Grant County to prepare a plan for the City of Moses Lake for inclusion in the Grant
County Solid Waste Management Plan.
3. The Grant County Solid Waste Management Plan Update,January 1995 reasonably conforms to
the desires of the City of Moses Lake for solid waste management.
4.The used oil amendment to the current local moderate risk waste management plan addresses the
immediate needs for the collection,disposal,and processing of used oil in the county.
RESOLVED:
1.The Cityof Moses Lake hereby approves the Grant County Solid Waste Management Plan Update,
January 1995 as a planning guide for solid waste handling, and Appendix H,Grant County Used
Oil Amendment to the Regional Local Hazardous Waste Management Plan for Grant,Adams,and
Lincoln Counties until such time as the plan(s)are revised,amended,or updated.
Adopted by the City Council on June 13, 1995.
