1956u u <j RESOLUTION NO.1956 A RESOLUTION INITIATING THE PROCEDURE FOR VACATING RIGHT-OF-WAY DEDICATED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF LAUREL DRIVE RECITALS: 1. The owners of a portion of the property abutting upon the public right-of-way of a portion of Laurel Drive have requested its vacation. 2. RCW 35.79 provides that a public street may be vacated upon resolution initiated and passed by the legislative authority of the jurisdiction where the street is situated and that such resolution shall fix a time when the petition will be heard and determined and which shall not be more than sixty days nor less than twenty days after the passage of such resolution. RESOLVED: 1. The petition for the vacation of the following described public right-of-way shall be accepted: That portion of Laurel Drive contiguousto a portion of Block3,Riviera Addition to Moses Lake,as per plat recorded in Volume 7 of Plats,Page 5, Records of Grant County, Washington, described as follows: Commencing at the northeastcornerof said Block3, whichis the pointof beginning,thence alongthe east boundary line of Block 3, and the west right-of-way line of the city street known as Laurel Drive, south 00°22'54"West,101.35 feet;thence South 89°37'06"East,30.00 feet to the centerline of Laurel Drive;thence along the centerline of Laurel Drive, North 00°22'54"East,106.29 feet;thence South 81°01'43" West, 30.40 feet to the point of beginning;containing 3114.4 square feet more or less, except a 30.00 foot easement shall be retained for municipal purposes. 2. The first reading of a vacation ordinance shall be set for May 28,1996;that a public hearing before the Planning Commission shall be set for April 25,1996;and that a second reading of a vacation ordinance shall be set for June 11,1996.
