RESOLUTION NO.1012
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE
CITY OF MOSES LAKE FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE WASTEWATER
FACILITIES AND TO REMOVE DISCHARGE OF THE WASTEWATER
EFFLUENT FROM THE WATERS OF MOSES LAKE.
WHEREAS, the City of Moses Lake has passed Resolution No. 926 on the 27th day of
March, 1979 supporting the efforts of the Moses Lake Irrigation and Rehabilitation
District's efforts to improve the quality of Moses Lake, and,
WHEREAS, the City of Moses Lake's wastewater treatment plant is not capable of
meeting some of the Department of Ecology's wastewater discharge permit require
ments,and
WHEREAS, the City of Moses Lake has completed Step I requirements for the Facilities
Plan Study,and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Moses Lake,
Washington,as follows:
Section 1.The Moses Lake City Council requests funds be approved by alloca
tion from the Department of Ecology and the Environmental Protection Agency
to provide the removal of wastewater discharge effluent from the waters of
Moses Lake.
Section 2.The Moses Lake City Council will, upon notification of allocation
from the Department of Ecoloyg and the Environmental Protection Agency,
establish funds in a budget allocation to construct facilities in Section 12,
Township 18 North,Range 28 EWM to treat,process and dissipate the wastewaters
of the City of Moses Lake.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Moses Lake and APPROVED by its Mayor this
13th day of May,1980.
