A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE PROPOSAL TO CO-EDUCATIONALIZE THE
COLUMBIA BASIN JOB CORPS CENTER IN 1981
WHEREAS,the Columbia Basin Job Corps Center is considering a Department of Labor
proposal to co-educationalize their training program beginning in 1981,and
WHEREAS,the Columbia Basin Job Corps Center has requested a resolution regarding
the proposal from the Moses Lake City Council,and
WHEREAS,members of the city administration and City Council visited a co-educa
tional Job Corps Center in Oregon after it became known that the Columbia Basin Job
Corps Center was considering co-educationalization,and
WHEREAS,the City Council discussed the proposal at length during its December 9,
1980 regular Council meeting,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Moses Lake,
Washington has no objections to the proposal of the Department of Labor to co
educational ize the Columbia Basin Job Corps Center beginning 1981.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Moses Lake,Washington,and APPROVED by
its Mayor this 23rd day of December,1980.
