1240S_J LJ RESOLUTION NO.1240 A RESOLUTION INITIATING THE PROCEDURE FOR VACATING A PORTION OF A SIXTY FOOT RIGHT-OF-WAY DEDICATED AS SIXTH AVENUE (BLANCHET AVENUE)ADJACENT TO TRACT 23 IN PARK ORCHARD TRACTS RECITALS: 1.The owners of more than two-thirds of the property abutting upon the six ty foot public right-of-way dedicated as Sixth Street (Blanchet Avenue) adjacent to Tract 23 in Park Orchard Tracts have requested that the street be vacated. 2.RCW 35.79 provides that a public street may be vacated upon resolution Initiated and passed by the legislative authority of the jurisdiction where the street is situated and that such resolution shall fix a time when the petition will be heard and determined and which shall not be more than sixty days nor less than twenty days after the passage of such resolution. RESOLVED: 1.The petition for the vacation of the following described public right-of- way shall be accepted: A portion of a right-of-way sixty feet wide in the SW 1/4 of Section 15, Township 19 North,Range 28 EWM,Grant County,Washington,described as follows: All that part of Sixth Avenue (Blanchet Avenue)being adjacent to Tract 23,Park Orchard Tracts,lying easterly of the easterly right- of-way boundary of Grape Drive and westerly of the southerly projec tion of the boundary common to Lots 22 and 23,Park Orchard Tracts; containing 36,600 square feet more or less. 2.The first reading of a vacation ordinance shall be set for November 26, 1985;that a public hearing before the Planning Commission shall be set for November 14,1985;and that a second reading of a vacation ordinance shall be set for December 10,1985.
