A RESOLUTION PERMITTING THE AMERICAN LEGION TO ERECT A TENT
ON CHESTNUT STREET BETWEEN PIONEER WAY AND THIRD AVENUE AND
PARK SELF-CONTAINED RECREATIONAL VEHICLES ON THE CITY
HALL'S PAVED PARKING LOT
RECITALS:
1.The American Legion Post 209 has made a request to erect a tent on
Chestnut Street between Pioneer Way and Third Avenue and park self-
contained recreational vehicles on the City's paved parking lot adjacent
to City Hall.
2.The tent location is within the City of Moses Lake Street right-of-way
and the parking lot is city-owned property.
3.The portion of Chestnut Street is to be used for the placement of a tent.
The City's parking lot is to be used for parking self-contained RV's.
RESOLVED:
1.The location of and method of setting up the tent will be approved by
the City Engineer.
2.No permanent change will be made to any asphalt,concrete,wood or metal
improvement now located within the Chestnut right-of-way and the city
parking lot.If any pins or stakes must be driven into the asphalt,the
American Legion will repair the asphalt,etc.to it's original condition.
3.As of August 3,1987,the American Legion will vacate the city right-of-
way and city parking lot and clean both areas of all paper,metal,glass,
and debris.
4.Permission to use the above described city right-of-way and city-owned
property is granted to the American Legion Post 209 for only the days of
July 31,August 1 and 2,1987.
5.The American Legion will provide the City a certificate of insurance in
the amount of $1,000,000 and name the City of Moses Lake as an additional
named insured.
Adopted by the City Council and signed by its Mayor on April 28,1987.
