A RESOLUTION DECLARING CITY OWNED REAL PROPERTY AS SURPLUS
AND AUTHORIZING ITS SALE
1.The City of Moses Lake,Washington,owns certain real property legally
described as follows:
A tract of land located in the SE 1/4 of Section 28,Township 19 North,
Range 28 EWM,more fully described as follows:
Beginning at the most easterly corner of the Club Addition as recorded in
Book 8 Page 13 of Plats,records of Grant County,Washington,said point
being on the southwesterly right-of-way of Burress Avenue;thence south
45°3r25"east along the southwesterly right-of-way of Burress Avenue a
distance of 30.00 feet;thence south 44°28'35"west a distance of 72.81
feet;thence south 23°29,58"east a distance of 28.32 feet;thence around
a curve concave to the northwest a distance of 83.05 feet,the radius of
said curve being 70.0 feet,the chord of said curve being south 10°29'18"
west a distance of 78.26 feet;thence south 44°28'35"west a distance of
228.10 feet;thence north 45°3r34"west a distance of 179.46 feet to the
northwesterly boundary of the tract described under Auditor's File No.
811657;thence north 44°28,25"east along said northwesterly boundary and
the southeasterly boundary of the tract described under Auditor's File
No.811128 a distance of 228.43 feet to the southwesterly boundary of
said Club Addition;thence south 45031'25"east along the southwesterly
boundary of said Club Addition and said southwesterly boundary extended a
distance of 79.47 feet;thence north 44°28'35"east along the southeast
erly boundary of the Club Addition extended and the southeasterly bound
ary of the Club Addition a distance of 148.00 feet to the point of begin
ning;containing 1.13 acres,more or less.
Subject to an easement for public street and utilities over the following
described parcel of land:
Beginning at the most easterly corner of the Club Addition as recorded in
Book 8 Page 13 of Plats,records of Grant County,Washington,thence
south 44°28'35"west along the southeasterly line of said Club Addition a
distance of 60.68 feet;thence south 23°29'58"east a distance of 32.36
feet;thence north 44°28'35"east a distance of 72.81 feet to the south
westerly right-of-way of Burress Avenue;thence north 45°31'25"west
along the southwesterly right-of-way of Burress Avenue,a distance of
30.00 feet to the point of beginning.
2.The Moses Lake Veterans of Foreign Wars has expressed an interest in pur
chasing the above referenced real property for $17,421.82.
3.The price offered by the organization for the property is fair,equi
table,and competitive,taking into account comparable sales of vacant
property in the area.
RESOLVED:
1.The City of Moses Lake,Washington,declares that the approximate 1.13
acres of real property owned by the city as illustrated on the map on
file with the Finance Director is surplus.
2.The real property above referenced can be purchased by the Moses Lake
Veterans of Foreign Wars.
