1487RECITALS: RESOLUTION NO.1487 A RESOLUTION REAFFIRMING THE PETTY CASH ACCOUNT DESIG NATED AS UTILITY CHANGE,AND DISCONTINUING THE CHANGE ACCOUNT FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT 1.The SAO Examiner is requesting this reaffirmation of the PettyCash Account designated as Petty Cash/Utility Change. This account is shown as 111-71-030 on the city's General Ledger. This is the first of such accounts which was designated on the books of the City of Moses Lake. Itbegan somewhere following the incorporation of the City of Moses Lake,and a resolution of the City Council authorizing itscreationcannot be located. Itwas most likely created prior to the enactment of RCW 42.26.060 which requires a resolution of the City Council.This section was enacted in 1969. 2. All other accounts of this nature have been established since 1969 and have been established according to resolution of the City Council. 3. The PettyCash Change Account forCommunity Developmentis no longer needed due to moving to the new buildingand now being located by the Finance Department. RESOLVED: 1. That the Petty Cash Account designated as Utility Change in the amount of $500 be reaffirmed according to RCW 42.26.06. 2. That the Community Development change account be discontinued and turned back to the Finance Department.The Finance Department will return the $50 cash to ttyepeneral Fund.
