RESOLUTION NO.576
A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON
THE VACATION OF A TWO BLOCK SECTION OF BLANCHETTE
AVENUE.
WHEREAS,Mr.Love has requested that the City vacate two blocks of Blanchette
Avenue bordering his property;
WHEREAS,the Moses Lake Planning Commission has recommended that the Council
vacate a portion of Blanchette Avenue with certain conditions;and
WHEREAS,it is necessary to fix a time for hearing on the advisability of vacating
the hereinafter described;
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Moses Lake,
Washington as follows:
Section 1.That a public hearing will be held on the 22nd day of August,
1972 at the hour of 8 o'clock P.M.in the City Hall for the purpose of
determining the advisability of vacating a public street in the City of
Moses Lake described as follows:
Parcel A:that portion of Blanchette Avenue,formerly Sixth Avenue,
beginning at a point on the centerline of Blanchette Avenue,formerly
Sixth Avenue,and Paxson Drive, thence: 30.0 feet S27°47'20"W,
thence; 557.16 feet N62O12'40"E to True Pointof Beginning,thence;
67.92 feet N27°47'20,,W,thence; 170.19 feet N62°12,40"E,thence;
60.0 feet S27O47'20"E,thence; 232.03 feet S62°12'40"W to True
Point of Beginning.
Parcel B:beginning at the most easterly point of Parcel A,thence:
60.0 feet N62°12'40"E to True Point of Beginning, thence; 586.87 feet
continuing N62°12'40"E,thence;60.0 feet N27°47'20"W,thence;
586.87 feet S62°12'40"N, thence 60.0 feet S27°47'20"to True Point
of Beginning.
Parcel C:beginning again at the most easterly point of Parcel B,
thence:60.0 feet N62 12'40"E to True Point of Beginning,thence;
583.75 feet N62°12'40"E,thence; 64.33 feet N48°56,20UW,thence;
560.54 feet S62 12,40"W,thence;60.0 feet S27°47,20"W to True
Point of Beginning.
Also reserved for utility purposes shall be the southerly 20.0 feet
of Blanchette,formerly Sixth Avenue,from the intersection of White
Drive and Blanchette,formerly Sixth Avenue to a point 150.0 feet
west,where water and gas lines have been installed.
Section 2.That the City Manager be instructed to notify affected property
owners as required in R.C.W.35.79.
